About Us

Welcome to the SOAS Christian Union!

We at the SOAS Christian Union are passionate about our Christian faith and exploring our place in the multi-cultural, multi-religious, and diverse political environment that is SOAS. Our aim is to help students of all faiths or none to understand more of what it means to be a Christian, to promote healthy and constructive dialogue between faith groups and have a tonne of fun in the process. We do not claim to have all of the answers, but hope that the CU is a place where all can feel welcomed and listened to as we discuss the bigger questions of life and spirituality.

Our weekly meetings take place at 6pm every Thursday, room location varies every week – so keep an eye on our facebook group and weekly emails!

    My name is James Lapping, I work for a local church in Hampstead London, St John’s Downshire Hill, its right by Hampstead Heath. We would love to get some students along from SOAS, who would be looking for a local church to get stuck into. Probably best for guys and girls living in Camden and there abouts.

    It would be good to get onto your church list! Please do let me know if there are any other ways that i might get involved, even if it is only pouring coffee, at a meeting, or helping set stuff up, would love to help out, and let folk know what’s happening at St John’s.
